6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Marco Gonzales had an inefficient outing against the Red Sox on Sunday Afternoon. He only managed to complete four innings as he gave up four runs on four hits and three walks for his second loss of the season. The Mariners defense didn't help out Gonzales as they dropped two pop-ups in shallow right field leading to two of the runs getting recorded as unearned. He threw 40 pitches in the first inning as the Boston hitter's forced him into several deep counts, but he finished up the final two innings in a more efficient manner. The southpaw is now 5-2 on the year with a 3.18 ERA, and he'll look to get back on track in his next start at home versus the Twins.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
