3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales was excellent against the Minnesota Twins Wednesday, but he was saddled with a hard-luck loss regardless. Gonzales allowed just one run on three hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings, and the only run came across to score after Gonzales had already been removed from the game. He struck out two batters as his record for the season dropped to 3-7. Gonzales is never going to strike out many batters, with just 40 in 68 2/3 innings this year, but his ratios again make him a solid fantasy fill-in in the right matchups.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
