3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales looked sharp Sunday against the Texas Rangers, allowing just one run on five hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out four batters. Gonzales left in position for a win, but was forced to settle for a no-decision after reliever Erik Swanson blew the save in the bottom of the ninth inning. Still, it's quite the encouraging outing for Gonzales, who has now thrown just four quality starts of the year. This is his third straight with no more than two earned runs allowed, so perhaps he's worth a look in fantasy if managers can deal with the lack of strikeouts.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
