3 years agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop Marco Luciano, who finished as MLB Pipeline's No. 5 overall prospect in 2021, has elite bat speed that gives him more power potential than any other middle-infield prospect in baseball. He was able to produce 19 home runs in 106 games between Low-A and High-A in his first full season in the minor leagues in 2021. The 20-year-old slashed .258/.344/.471 with 71 RBI, six stolen bases and 68 runs scored in 106 games for Single-A San Jose and High-A Eugene last season. Luciano's raw power stands out, but he's developing at the plate and learning to use the entire field and take his walks. The worst-case scenario is that he'll move to third base or a corner outfield spot, but his bat gives him the potential to be a superstar at the MLB level, possibly as soon as 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
