Marcus Davenport Suffers Pectoral Strain
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport (pectoral) suffered a pectoral strain in Week 1 versus the Green Bay Packers. Davenport is awaiting the results of a MRI that he did on Tuesday, but is expected to miss at least a few weeks. It's a tough blow for the Saints defense with news of cornerback Marcus Lattimore being listed as questionable with a thumb injury and questionable for Week 2 versus the Carolina Panthers. The Saints dominated a tough Packers offense in Week 1, but the loss of Davenport and potential loss of Lattimore make them not as scary heading into Week 2. Managers in deeper leagues can look at other options with the Saints potentially missing two of their star defenders on Sunday.
