Marcus Mariota Has Solid Day In Week 1
5 years agoTennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota went 12-for-24 for 248 yards and three touchdowns in the upset win over the Browns on Sunday. The 25-year-old had a subpar first-half but turned things around in the second by connecting on a 75-yard pass to running back Derrick Henry for a score before capping off the day with two more touchdown throws to tight end Delanie Walker. Mariota, who is still not a lock to start for the remainder of the season, likely did enough to secure the spot as the team’s No. 1, at least for now. Look for him to be the signal-caller in Week 2 against the Colts, with Ryan Tannehill waiting for his chance to play if Mariota fails to produce.
