Marcus Mariota – Week 1 Outlook For Fantasy Football

2 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota heads into Week 1 as the starter. After winning the job early in training camp over the rookie Desmond Ridder, Mariota should start the first several games of the year, barring injury. However, the last time he was a full-time starter was in 2019 with the Tennessee Titans. That year, the former Oregon Duck threw for 1,203 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions in seven games. Meanwhile, the matchup against the New Orleans Saints is less than ideal. Last year, they held quarterbacks to third-fewest passing touchdowns. Mariota is a low-end QB2 option for those playing in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.--Mike Fanelli
