3 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Marcus Semien knocked in a pair of runs on Friday as his club was defeated by the Orioles 6-5 in extra innings. His double in the seventh that cashed in two was his only hit of the ballgame as he finished the night going 1-for-5 with two strikeouts. Semien has held the reigns of the everyday leadoff man despite the return of George Springer to the lineup, which is well deserved since he's slashing a crisp .276/.343/.515. He has fallen into a bit of slump going 3-for-24 over his last five games, but it shouldn't take long for the 30-year-old to get back into a groove.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
