5 years agoOakland Athletics shortstop Marcus Semien will hit leadoff as the team takes on the Rays in the AL Wild Card play-in game. Semien has put together another fantastic season and enters postseason play swinging a hot stick. Semien slashed .347/.441/.693 in the month of September with eight home runs, nine doubles, 19 runs batted in and 25 runs scored over his last 26 games. Semien and Co. will face right-handed starter Charlie Morton and Semien is 4-for-12 over the last two seasons against the veteran pitcher. Semien will be counted on to be a catalyst for the A's offense Wednesday as the winner will advance to play the Astros in the ALDS.--Joey C - RotoBaller
