Marcus Semien Off To Slow Start With Rangers
3 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien has only two hits in his first 22 at-bats with the Rangers in his first season with the team through the first five games. Semien has led off in two of the five games against left-handed pitchers, while hitting second in the order behind outfielder Brad Miller in the other three games against righties. The 31-year-old may not be able to replicate his monster season with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2021 when he hit .265/.334/.538 with a career-high 45 home runs, 102 RBI, 115 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 162 games, but he should get going eventually for fantasy managers in his new home. Semien and the Rangers will face Los Angeles Angels right-hander Shohei Ohtani on Thursday night.
