Marcus Stroman Allows Two Solo Homers In Spring Debut
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman allowed two runs on three hits with one walk and one strikeout over two innings of work during his Grapefruit League debut on Monday against the New York Yankees. Both runs Stroman allowed were solo home runs courtesy of Troy Tulowitzki and Kyle Higashioka. The 27-year-old pitched without discomfort after dealing with a multitude of injuries throughout a dismal 2018 season. Stroman's fantasy value has taken a hit, but he remains the top starter on the Blue Jays. His low strikeout rate will always prevent him from being a sought-after fantasy asset, but he is a worthy flier in the latest rounds of drafts in the hopes he rediscovers his form from 2016 and 2017.
