4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman threw another gem on Tuesday going six strong innings against the Phillies in the Mets' 4-0 win in the second game of a doubleheader. Stroman allowed only four hits, walking none while striking out three in his quality start. Stroman, the pitcher of record for the Mets, improved to 2-0 on the young season. Stroman has now allowed just one run in his 12 innings of work in 2021. Stroman will look to continue his hot start to the season in his next start which is scheduled for Sunday against the Rockies in Colorado. He has been true to form so far in 2021 by inducing ground balls through his first two starts. As a result, Stroman should be able to mitigate home run risk associated with the thin air of Coors Field when facing the Rockies. Managers should, accordingly, keep Stroman active.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
