Marcus Stroman Looks To Keep Things Rolling
7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman has underwhelmed, and that’s being generous, across his six starts in 2018 thus far. In his last outing against the Minnesota Twins, however, he finally showed a glimmer of hope by only allowing two earned runs over seven innings pitched with five strikeouts. He’ll take the hill at home on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners, but Seattle is a different beast than the Twins. While Minnesota ranks 25th in the majors in runs scored, the Mariners rank 13th with the fifth best team OPS. We wouldn’t recommend using Stroman in your lineup for this one, but if he’s able to put together a second good outing against a solid-hitting ballclub, it may be time to start having a moderate degree of faith again.
