6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman had been out since May 8 due to right shoulder inflammation, but made a triumphant return against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday. Stroman had a short outing, as expected, but pitched a scoreless five innings with six hits, five strikeouts, and a walk. You can’t ask for much more than that after the long layoff. There’s no doubt Stroman makes for an intriguing fantasy add with the success he’s had in the past, but we would like to see him do it once or twice more before running to pick him up. If you wanted to add him now in 12-team formats (and larger), though, you wouldn’t be crazy to do so.--John Smith
