Marcus Stroman Roughed Up On Friday
2 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Marcus Stroman got obliterated on Friday, allowing nine earned runs over four innings pitched. Stroman was hit hard by the Cardinals in this start, allowing 10 hits, including three home runs and five balls hit over 100 mph. This disaster elevates Stroman's season ERA to 5.32, with his record dropping to 2-5. The right-hander has been getting hit hard all season, and although he had strung together a couple of nice starts before this one, he is more of a matchups play at this point. His next start comes against the Orioles in Baltimore, so you can keep him in your lineup for that one if you don't have better options.
