Marcus Stroman Sharp In His Spring Debut
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman retired all six batters he faced in his first spring training start of the season on Tuesday. Stroman struck out two, threw 22 of his 30 pitches for strikes, and sat between 91 and 92 mph with his fastball versus the Houston Astros. It was a great start to the spring for Stroman who missed all of last season when he opted out of the 2020 campaign due to COVID-19 concerns. Heading into 2021, Stroman will be a solid back-end fantasy starter who can give owners precious innings, a solid ERA and WHIP, and strikeout totals around 140-150, with the potential for more.
