Marcus Stroman Solid In Win On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman went 5 1/3 innings pitched in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against Washington, allowing just one earned run and striking out eight. The Mets defeated the Nationals 4-1 and Stroman picked up his eighth win of the season, improving his record to 8-11 on the season. Stroman yielded just three hits and two walks in an impressive outing when the Mets needed it desperately. For the season, Stroman owns a 2.79 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 114 strikeouts in 132 1/3 IP. Stroman has been a solid fantasy producer this year despite a rough string of starts in late June and early July. He should remain active in all formats going forward.
