Marcus Stroman Starting Game 1 On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman, who was originally supposed to start on Wednesday, will now be on the bump for Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against Washington. With the contest postponed due to inclement weather (rain), the 30-year-old will still get his chance at revenge against a Washington team that beat him up back in April by racking up eight hits and five runs throughout only four innings of work. Nonetheless, Stroman has been a semi-reliable fantasy producer this year, currently sitting on a 2.83 ERA and a 7-11 record, with 106 strikeouts, so managers would be justified to give him another shot to make things right.
