4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (calf) will throw to live batters on Friday, according to general manager Brodie Van Wagenen. This is a good sign for Stroman but there's still no timetable for his return to the rotation. There's hope for the 29-year-old to contribute for fantasy teams in 2020, after what was originally thought to be a season-ending injury. Stroman posted a 3.77 ERA and 9.1 strikeouts per nine innings with the Mets in the second half of 2019. Stay tuned for more information on the status of Stroman's calf.--Tim Capurso
