4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (calf) is set to throw a simulated game on Tuesday as he's drawing nearer to a return to the club. It is likely his last tune-up before joining the starting rotation after throwing four innings in a sim game last Thursday. An opening has become available with Michael Wacha landing on the IL, but manager Luis Rojas will not push Stroman to start in his place on Wednesday. He'll likely take his spot the next turn through the rotation the following week, so managers should consider adding the 29-year-old in anticipation.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
