Marcus Stroman Tosses Another Quality Start Despite Loss
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman allowed three runs on four hits through seven innings of work during a 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Stroman walked one batter while striking out three. He was victimized by the long ball during the contest, as all three runs came courtesy of a homer. On the surface, the 28-year-old has an unflattering 4-9 record, but he has only allowed more than three earned runs in a start three times this season. He owns a 3.23 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 71/29 K/BB rate. Stroman is worthy of a roster spot in almost all formats as a depth starter.
