4 years agoNew York Mets right-handed pitcher Marcus Stroman continues to make his way back from a left calf tear, having worked four innings during a simulated game Friday. While there is still no timetable for when Stroman could rejoin New York’s rotation, manager Luis Rojas was complimentary of how he believed the 29-year-old to have looked. For the time being, left-handed rookie David Peterson is holding down Stroman’s spot in the starting five. Stroman has added incentive to get back on the mound in addition to his notorious level of competitiveness, as he is set to become a free agent following the 2020 year. Fantasy owners that can afford to be patient with an IL spot are safe waiting on Stroman to get back.--Jesse Borek
