7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman has been shelled all season long, and that’s putting it kindly. To put that in perspective, entering Wednesday’s start against the Minnesota Twins, Stroman had an 8.88 ERA. Yes, you read that right. Fortunately, on Wednesday Stroman may have done what rotation mate Marco Estrada failed to do on Tuesday – right the ship against the weak Minnesota Twins offense. Stroman took the loss in a 4-0 affair but allowed only two earned runs on six hits and a walk across seven innings pitched. He picked up five strikeouts on the day. Stroman has a bit of a tougher test the next time out against the Seattle Mariners in Toronto, but if you’ve stuck with him through his struggles, you should be starting him in this one.--John Smith
