4 years agoDespite only throwing nine pitches in Sunday's rain-suspended game against Miami, New York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman will not make his next start until Friday, at the earliest, on his normal rest. Mets manager Luis Rojas stated on Monday that Stroman prefers to go through his regular routine. In two starts on the season, which includes the 1/3 inning pitched on Sunday, Stroman owns a 1.42 ERA, and an 0.95 WHIP, with three strikeouts in six and 1/3 IP. Assuming the Mets have no rainouts before Friday, Stroman will next face the Rockies on the road. Stroman's groundball-inducing skillset makes him a solid starting option despite the game taking place in Coors Field.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
