4 years agoContinuing her impressive run in the UFC, Marina Rodriguez (14-1-2) took the veteran Michelle Waterson all five rounds and scored a unanimous-decision victory (48-47, 49-46, 49-46) in Saturday's main event. Statistically, Rodriguez lit it up, landing 125 significant strikes (144 total strikes) along with stuffing four of Waterson's five takedown tries. Rodriguez does have a split-decision loss to fourth-ranked Carla Esparza three fights ago. Since then, though, she has won three in a row and is likely to produce a different outcome should the Esparza rematch come up soon for Rodriguez.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
