3 years agoThe Seattle Mariners reinstated outfielder Mitch Haniger from the COVID-19 injured list on Friday and designated right-hander Matt Koch for assignment in a corresponding move. Haniger tested positive for COVID-19 on April 16 and hasn't played since, so fantasy managers shouldn't be too surprised if is slow to get back into a groove at the plate. The 31-year-old should be back in the starting lineup on Friday against Miami Marlins right-hander Elieser Hernandez. Before going on the injured list, Haniger was hitting just .176, but he did have three home runs, seven RBI and three runs scored in his first eight games. Jarred Kelenic had been primarily playing right field with Haniger out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
