6 years agoBaltimore Ravens rookie tight end Mark Andrews has been impressive through the first three weeks of his professional career. The mammoth 6-foot-5, 256-pound rookie had two big-play receptions for the Ravens against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. On the Ravens opening possession, Andrews turned a short pass from quarterback Joe Flacco into a 30-yard catch and run, which help set up Alex Collins' six-yard touchdown run to knot the game at seven. He aided another Ravens scoring drive in the third quarter with a tough catch over the middle on a 29-yard toss from Flacco. The 59 receiving yards that he finished with set a single-game franchise record for rookie tight ends. While Andrews has only started one game and been on the field for the fewest snaps (84) among the Ravens three healthy players at that position, he leads the tight ends in targets (11), receptions (eight), yards (107) and touchdowns (one). Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams are the other tight ends that have appeared in a game. With fellow rookie Hayden Hurst projected to be out a few more weeks, Andrews is definitely someone fantasy football owners should consider in appealing upcoming matchups against Pittsburgh (Week 4) and Cleveland (Week 5).--Daniel Benjamin
