Mark Ingram II Misses Practice Thursday
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram II (knee) was not at practice on Thursday. Ingram was a limited practice on Wednesday, so either he had a setback with his knee injury, or the Saints gave him a rest in the middle of the practice week. It's also worth noting that the 32-year-old veteran missed the Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers. If Ingram is healthy enough, the Saints will trot him out there as the backup to Alvin Kamara, as the Saints must win and get some help to earn a playoff berth in the NFC. Tony Jones Jr. had just one carry behind Kamara last week, so it's clear that Ingram won't have any standalone value in fantasy as long as Kamara remains healthy.
