Mark Ingram II Unable To Practice Thursday
4 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram II (ankle) was moved back to a non-participant for Thursday's practice, further clouding his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Having last suited up in Week 6, the fact that Ingram was a limited practice participant Wednesday was encouraging, but his step backward continues the murky nature of the division of duties in the backfield. Without Ingram in the mix, Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins have virtually split carries, although Lamar Jackson remains a significant run threat, as well. Not having logged more than 11 carries in any of his six outings this year, even if Ingram does progress well enough to eventually be cleared for Sunday, he is a touchdown-dependent option who may not have many red zone carries at his disposal. Check back throughout the week for updates to his status, but do so primarily as a means to gauge Edwards and Dobbins' outlook appeal.
