Mark Ingram Won't Have Contract Voided
7 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram wasn't selected to the All-Pro team in 2017, which means he won't have his contract voided for the 2018 season. He had a clause in his contract that would've made him a free agent in 2018 if he'd been selected to the All-Pro team this year. Ingram had a career year in 2017, though rushing a career-high 230 times for a career-high 1,124 yards (4.9 yards per carry) for a career-high 12 touchdowns. Ingram's previous high in TDs was back in 2014 with nine, and he did all of this while sharing backfield work with impressive rookie Alvin Kamara. Ingram will now be a free agent after the 2018 season, and he should at least be a strong RB2 next season with Kamara still around.
