3 years agoSan Diego Padres relief pitcher Mark Melancon earned his third win of the season Saturday night against the Philadelphia Phillies, throwing two scoreless innings with one strikeout. He allowed two walks, one of the intentional variety to Bryce Harper. Melancon had had an excellent season, with 34 saves, a 2.06 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts in 52 1/3 innings. Despite the limited strikeout rate, he remains a top fantasy closing option.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
