7 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Mark Melancon (forearm) had a stem-cell injection in his right pronator on Thursday. Melancon will now wait two weeks before starting a throwing program. He also visited with Dr. James Andrews, who said Melancon’s ligament was fine. Reliever Hunter Strickland is doing a good job as the Giants closer and with Melancon with no clear timeline for a return, it may be time to cut bait with the former top closer in shallow leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
