7 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Mark Melancon is not a guarantee to be ready for Opening Day on Thursday. Manager Bruce Bochy wouldn’t expand on what is wrong with Melancon, but the closer will play catch on Tuesday and Wednesday. A decision will then be made about his status for Thursday. Melancon is already beginning to be a headache for fantasy owners and those who own him would be wise to stash Tony Watson or Sam Dyson, as both are likely to earn saves if Melancon misses time.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
