4 years agoNew York Mets infield prospect Mark Vientos went 2-for-2 and slugged two doubles on Monday against the Washington Nationals. The young player is now 3-for-4 with a promising BB-K of 4-1 on the spring. The 21-year-old former second-round pick is known mostly for his power but has also shown a rudimentary approach at the plate so the early patience is a promising sign for his development. Predominantly a third baseman in the minors, Vientos has been splitting his focus between the hot corner and first base this spring. He's ranked by Rotoballer as the 10th-best third-base dynasty prospect in baseball.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
