2 years agoThe Miami Marlins could decide to shop starting pitcher Pablo Lopez, according to one rival general manager. The Marlins are deep with young pitchers, have shown a willingness to do so in the past and would be selling high on Lopez, who has a 2.61 ERA. Eury Perez and Max Meyer are two pitchers that rival executives don't think the Fish will consider trading, and of course Sandy Alcantara. Lopez picked up his fifth win of the season Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies, and it was a bounce-back after having allowed four-plus earned runs in three of his previous five starts. Along with his 2.61 ERA, the 26-year-old right-hander has a 1.06 WHIP, 83 strikeouts and 23 walks in 82 2/3 innings over 14 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
