Marlon Mack Feeling Better
2 years agoHouston Texans running back Marlon Mack (Achilles) said he's "there again" health-wise and said he feels good and is able to make the cuts he was able to make before a devastating Achilles injury in 2020. In his first year in Houston, Mack will compete with running backs Rex Burkhead and rookie Dameon Pierce for playing time. He has experience as a lead back, but he's also played in just seven games the last two years due to his Achilles injury. In his last healthy season in 2019 with the Indianapolis Colts, though, Mack had 247 carries for 1,091 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, adding 14 catches for 82 yards. He could get the first crack for lead duties to open the 2022 season, but Pierce has the upside to eventually win the job in what could be a frustrating committee for fantasy managers.
