6 years agoGreen Bay rookie wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has clearly earned more trust from quarterback Aaron Rodgers than his fellow rookie wide receivers have. He has established himself as fourth on the depth chart and garnered 10 targets last week against Detroit. Those targets largely came as the result of injuries that kept Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (concussion) out of the game. However, both players are limited in practice and may miss time again in Week 6 when Green Bay takes on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. Valdes-Scantling will have value if either player misses time but will largely be relegated to bench if both are active. Normally in this situation Valdes-Scantling would be a player to keep an eye on as a bye week or injury fill-in. However, since it will be hard to know his usage until Monday night you should avoid relying on him for Week 6.--Tyger McGuiggan
