Marquez Valdes-Scantling Has Excellent Offseason
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the best receiver in the team's offseason program, writes The Athletic's Nate Taylor. Valdes-Scantling offers a combination of size and speed that quarterback Patrick Mahomes has never had before. He'll help replace Tyreek Hill and will be competing for targets alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster and tight end Travis Kelce. The 27-year-old will help the Chiefs stretch the field and will be intriguing while working with Mahomes, but he had just 26 catches for 430 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games for the Green Bay Packers last year and hasn't been consistent in his four years in the league. MVS is definitely worth taking a late-round flier on in deeper leagues.
