Marquez Valdes-Scantling In Concussion Protocol
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (concussion) didn't play during Thursday's preseason finale versus the Green Bay Packers. The 27-year-old is currently in concussion protocol. While the details regarding how he ended up in this position are vague, it may not keep him off the field for Week 1. After Valdes-Scantling suited up for the Packers throughout the first four years of his career, he has a chance to be the top-producing wideout for his new team. However, if he misses time, it wouldn't be ideal for those who already drafted him. Nevertheless, an absence from the veteran for the season opener against Arizona would mean Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman, and Skyy Moore would be the favorites to see more attention from Patrick Mahomes. The same can be said for JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), assuming he's healthy to begin the year.
