Marquez Valdes-Scantling Injured In Week 18
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (back) injured his back in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Valdes-Scantling played only 15 offensive snaps before leaving the game and wasn't able to haul in his only target in the loss to Detroit. It's unclear exactly how serious his injury is, but the good news is he'll have an extra week to rest before the Packers play their first playoff game. Valdes-Scantling has been a boom-or-bust fantasy receiver this year, averaging 2.4 catches and 39.1 receiving yards in 11 games while finding the end zone three times. If MVS cannot play in two weeks, Allen Lazard, who had two touchdowns against Detroit, would become much more attractive as a low-cost DFS play.
