Marquez Valdes-Scantling Leads Green Bay in Receiving
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling led all Packers in receiving yards with three catches for 101 yards in Week 9’s matchup against the New England Patriots. Valdes-Scantling only caught half of his targets but he made some monster plays when it mattered most, including an incredibly difficult contested grab that kept a drive alive. Valdes-Scantling has effectively become Green Bay’s second wide receiver. Wide receiver Randall Cobb has struggled all year and he looked very slow Sunday night. Valdes-Scantling has seen more snaps and targets than Cobb over the course of the past two weeks. Valdes-Scantling is a fast and tall player who has earned a significant amount of trust from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He should be owned in all fantasy leagues and figures to be a solid flex option going forward.
