6 years agoGreen Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was overtaken on the depth chart by fellow rookie wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown for the No. 3 WR role in a Week 15 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Valdes-Scantling broke out earlier this year with a handful of big games that showed some promise. The tall and fast Valdes-Scantling has struggled with route running, but had been just reliable enough to be a valuable asset to Green Bay. However, as he attracted more defensive attention he struggled to separate in one-one-one coverage. He hasn’t had meaningful fantasy production for many weeks. Against Chicago he only managed one catch for 12 yards on two targets. St. Brown did not manage much better catching one pass for seven yards on the day. Neither rookie has had any fantasy relevance for over a month and nothing that happened in Chicago looks to change that. While both have some value in deeper dynasty formats they do not warrant any consideration in redraft leagues.--Tyger McGuiggan
