Marquez Valdes-Scantling Tops 100 Yards In Week 6
6 years agoGreen Bay rookie wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught three passes for 103 yards on six targets in a win against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. Most of those yards came on a single pass early in the game that went for 60 yards where he was seemingly uncovered. Valdes-Scantling was on the field for much of the game filling in for injured wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison. Valdes-Scantling has separated himself from the other rookie wide receivers and was the clear number two option at wide receiver in the game. Despite some nice plays over the last few weeks, there has still been some moments of miscommunication between him and Rodgers. This will likely relegate him back to the bench when Allison and Cobb return, which is likely to happen after the Week 7 bye. Since their return is imminent, Valdes-Scantling should only be owned in deeper leagues and dynasty leagues.
