Marquez Valdes-Scantling Will Be Ready For Week 1
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (concussion) said he will be ready for Week 1 of the regular season against the Arizona Cardinals. Valdes-Scantling said he has cleared the league's concussion protocols and was able to practice on Sunday. The 27-year-old missed the team's preseason finale last Thursday against the Green Bay Packers, but fantasy managers will have him available to begin the regular season. MVS is fully expected to start for the Chiefs in three-wide sets in his first year in KC next to JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, and if he stays healthy, he could have a very nice season for the Chiefs. He was never much of a factor in his four seasons with the Packers, though, but he has averaged a healthy 17.5 yards per catch in his time in the NFL. Consider him a WR4/5 in your upcoming fantasy drafts with upside for more.
