Marquise Goodwin Needs To Step It Up
6 years agoThe injury-ravaged San Francisco 49ers offense should get wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps, hamstring) back in Week 6. Goodwin’s been limited to less than eight quarters of football this season with nagging leg injuries and will square off against a Green Bay Packers defense allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game (208.8). While Goodwin is in line for his full complement of snaps, quarterback C.J. Beathard has been content spreading the ball around in his two starts. Goodwin could be the beneficiary of a heavy-volume passing game but the risk of an ineffective offense or injury setback makes him a high-variance WR3 for Week 6.
