6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin demonstrated his volatility in Week 7, following up a two-touchdown performance with a 24-yard clunker on just two catches. Goodwin will seek better consistency in Week 8 against a middling Arizona Cardinals pass defense. While the Cardinals have allowed the second-fewest pass touchdowns (eight), Goodwin should have less competition for targets with Pierre Garcon (knee) unlikely to play. If the Niners establish their punishing ground game and quarterback C.J. Beathard gets time in the pocket, Goodwin could receive a few deep shots throughout the contest.
