7 years agoAfter being criticized recently by Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, wide receiver Martavis Bryant had an excellent practice against the Lions on Wednesday with several quality receptions that showcased his speed and hands. Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson are ahead of Bryant, and Ryan Switzer has found a home in the slot, leaving Bryant to work mostly with the second-team offense. “Martavis is not a good talent, he’s a great talent and we’re going to continue to work him into our offense,” Gruden said. “Today showed, I think, what he’s capable of doing. … We have big plans for him.” Bryant still has time to learn the offense and pick things up, but as of now he doesn't have much of a role as the fourth wideout. He's a boom-or-bust fantasy option that is often consistent for his fantasy owners. He's a much better target late in standard-scoring leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
