6 years agoHouston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado will have an intriguing matchup heading into Tuesday's tilt with the A's. Maldonado is slugging .590 over his last 15 games played with three home runs and has been getting the lion's share of the catching duties over the past few weeks. Maldonado has struggled mightily against right-handed pitching recently (.156 over his last 32 at-bats) but is 5-for-13 lifetime with two home runs against A's Tuesday's starter, right-hander Edwin Jackson.
