4 years agoHouston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado is off to a terrible start to his season heading into the teams matchup against the Mariners on Tuesday. Maldonado already has missed a week of his season after being place into COVID protocols and has been ineffective since. In six games since his return, Maldonado is only 2-for-16 and for the season is slashing an anemic .102/.170/.122. The 34-year-old is mostly known for his defense and 24 strikeouts through his first 49 at-bats will not endear Maldonado towards fantasy lineups anytime soon.--Joey C - RotoBaller
