6 years agoMinnesota Twins left-hander Martin Perez spun eight scoreless innings in a 6-2 win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday. Perez struck out seven and walked two on the way to picking up his fourth win of the season. The veteran left-hander is off to a strong start for the Twins this season, posting a 3.41 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings of work. Once a punching bag when with the Texas Rangers, Perez added a cutter to his arsenal during spring training, which has taken his game to the next level and has made him fantasy relevant. He is worth considering as a waiver add going forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
